Reviving the dead art of expression
Services
I first want to say no job is too big or too small. The majority of my work currently is events and weddings, but it’s also an honor to create memorial flowers and special occasion arrangements. I also enjoy in preparing for various holiday decor; from seasonal curb-appeal arrangements to fresh wreaths or fake wreaths- large or small, mantle pieces, and other accent pieces. Or if you have a special vase, plate, or pot you’d like an arrangement in, I enjoy these one of a kind projects too! Sometimes, this is where creativity pours. I want to partner with you on your next creative project.

About
I breathe creativity!
I started creating floral pieces and other creative gifts from a young age. As a young adult, I worked at various flower shops in the area and held several positions from bucket-washer to floral designer to store manager. I had taken time off to pursue school, but all the while, I would create arrangements for many friends and family events or special occasions. And after much encouragement, I started the business.
Long overdue, Whisper Sweet Nothings is now an establishment.
Style of Work:
I have an earthy and nature-like style, working ‘with’ the plant, not against it. But I am experienced with a variety of styles including, but not limited to: contemporary, Ikebana-type style, wild-flower-look, market wrapped bouquet, country, primitive, farm stand style, shabby-chic, classic or traditional, and elegant. -Small scale, large, scale and anywhere in-between. I work with fresh flowers, dried flowers, silk or faux flowers, paper flowers, and even just ‘greens’.
Hopes and Dreams…
‘First thing’s first’ is a principle I incorporate into my life. This is my dream; to have a flower shop business. One of my life-mentors had mentioned to me, “If you do what your passion is, it’ll just work out, and things will fall into place as they should.”
A long-term dream of mine is to have a flower shop so big and successful, that I can incorporate my passion for both flowers and humans together. The dream is to build a shelter, if you will, for folks who need housing and help train for employment at the flower shop. That way, they can ‘blossom’ their skills so that they can gain employment anywhere they ‘plant their feet’. I don’t know how this would happen, so if there’s any philanthropists out there interested in helping me with this dream, let me know.

The Mission
My main mission is to reflect people and events in a creative and expressive way using flowers. People are beautiful and unique. The flowers should match!
Second, floral expression seems like a dying art. Therefore, another part of my mission is to keep expressive art and creativity alive with flowers. Well, alive as long as possible with fresh-cut flowers, that is (a little floral humor there).
Next, I understand that flowers are a luxury, but I’m trying to change the perception that they’re a luxury to more of a necessity. Where did the romance go? Let’s keep romance alive! Let’s put smiles on people’s faces. Where did showing a thank you go? Or how can we show empathy for a difficult life-event? Let’s connect! I’d be happy to work on this with you.
Lastly, I have a mission to make my work to be meaningful and honoring. Not only honoring to be a part of a special day or event, but to be one of honoring people we’ve lost. One of the biggest honors I have is to create memorial pieces for those who have passed away. I want my work to be reflective, intentional, and represent them or their life well.
